The work Robert Greenwald is doing over at Brave New Films deserves your attention. I know I have my very own particular grudge against CIGNA as I write about them a great deal on this blog and with just cause.
However, you need to know that it isn't just me and my family that has reason to be so angry with the treatment we received at the hands of CIGNA.
You also need to know that the reason I resurrected this blog is thanks to Sarah Palin and her idiotic and morally irresponsible Death Panels pronouncement. Yep, it was then I knew I had to do something to call attention to the egregious behavior of the Insurance Industry, Conservatives, Senators and Congressmen who receive money from Special Interest Groups, Front Groups, Lobbyists and everyone else wanting to keep the American Public back in the days of Serf and Master.
If a company like CIGNA, who has a wide and long trail of documented cases of their denial of coverage to sick people, dying people and disabled people, if they are willing to do THAT to their customers, their fellow citizens, then what do you think they are willing to do to stop you from having a choice of insurance? To keep the profits?
Mr. Greenwald at Brave New Films has exposed CIGNA as well. This video may make you cry, like it did me, and then make you angry. As a nation, I know we are better than this:
We need to come into the 21st century and stop letting the Feudal Lords of the Insurance Industry tell us that universal health care is evil. Every other industrialized (and some not so industrialized) country in the world has it. We're living back in the days where the monarch told us what to do and what to think. Snap out of it, America. We need a Public Option.
